Notes From the Press
Come on in—don’t trip over my thoughts.
Essays, studio notes, playlists, and whatever creative detours I’m exploring this week.
The Studio
A visual scrapbook from my desk—experiments, works-in-progress, and whatever I’m making this week.

✨ February Notes ✨
It all started because I wanted to make thank-you cards and print a design on them. I was already picturing myself fighting with my printer and hoping it cooperated… when a little lightbulb went off. What if I just bought a custom stamp instead? Or better yet — why don’t I just make one?
So I picked up a lino cutter set, tracing paper, a rubber block, and a few small erasers to practice on before committing to the real thing. I decided to keep it simple and start with a heart. I knew it wouldn’t be perfect, but I also knew this was something I’d enjoy. It felt oddly therapeutic — slow, focused, and just a little nerve-wracking.
The erasers were tougher than I expected, but they did the job.
Then came the slow part — small, careful cuts, tiny curls of rubber collecting on the mat. The first stamp isn’t flawless, and the edges are a little rough… but it’s handmade in the best way. I’m pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. This is definitely something I’ll have to practice and refine, but I think I’ve got this. It already feels like something that belongs here in our little studio. I have ideas forming — okay, more like overflowing. There I go overthinking again. But here we are, and I’m excited.
If you’ve ever thought about trying something new just to see if you can, this is your sign.

Equal parts inspiration and distraction — here’s what’s on repeat while I work (and sometimes dance around instead of working).
